About Casual Friday Films
Dedicated to preserving the cheese-laden, B-Grade, zero-to-no budget, blood and boobs slasher flicks of the 1980's.
Corporate Philosophy
Casual and laid back are the operative words. Let's work hard on the task at hand, but have a good time doing it. The Founders are not here to stroke their own egos of being a "filmmaker". Casual Friday Films was formed with the express intent of eking out a living doing what we love. So let's go make a movie, and get it on the shelves. And then we all don't have to flip burgers anymore. The founders all worked day jobs, for ungrateful masters, and have experienced management on all ends of the spectrum (good and bad, as both mangers and managed staff). So, learning from these mistakes, we've striven to not be "one of those" companies that treat its most valuable asset (its people) like crap.
Casual Friday Films is extremely loyal to its people, and will go out of its way to assist its folks in anyway possible.
Casual Friday Films seeks to build a family with its people. A place where people mutually respect and appreciate each other for their strengths and weaknesses. Casual Friday Films is always looking ahead at the next project or two down the line, and thinking about how someone can be involved in that endeavor.
Is it the norm? No.
Is it Possible? Yes. We want folks like you in our family.
History
In the summer of 2005, three friends with a passion for horror films got together and would talk about movies both bad and good. These discussions often turned into crticisms on what could be done to salvage a certain scene or what the director/cinematographer/ actor could have done differently. At one point, one of the three amigos, and this is where the history gets blurry depending on about which one you speak, posed the question, why don't we just make these films?Taking an assesment of their collective expereiences and talents, they quickly discovered that they possessed not only the technical know-how but also the human element required for a project of this scope. Well into the first project, one of the founders decided to exit the stage and leave Casual Friday Films as a two man show.
